Cannonau di Sardegna
Description
Cannonau di Sardegna is the local variant of Grenache.
The vines are 30 years old and are located at an altitude of 200 to 220 m on clay-limestone soil.After maceration on skin for 8 to 10 days at controlled temperature, fermentation continues in stainless steel tanks. At the end of fermentation, the wine continues to mature for 3 months in barrels before ironing in stainless steel vats for a further 6 months.Once bottled, the wine stays for another 3 months on the estate before being placed on the market.
The result is a splendid wine with an intense ruby color and purple reflection.The nose is marked by red fruits, spices and coffee.The tannins are very supple, the mouth is full and rich and the fruit remains perfectly present.
An ideal wine for your red meats, various pasta preparations.
